Hold onto your hats folks, it’s electricity hunting season!
That’s right, the end of the financial year is almost upon us and that means electricity pricing is set for a shake up. So here’s a friendly reminder to compare electricity plans. Why?
In New South Wales, south east Queensland and South Australia, the default market offer (DMO) is set to fall in the 2021/22 financial year. This could save residential customers on standing offers up to $116 a year and businesses up to $441 a year.
However, the DMO is unlikely to be the best deal available.
The DMO is a price limit on what electricity retailers can charge their customers. Most power companies offer more competitive deals than the DMO and July 1 is a popular time for companies to review their other pricing too, both for existing customers and new offers available in the market.
So if you haven’t compared your energy plan in a while, now is the time to do so. Jump on Energy Made Easy to compare electricity plans available to you and be sure to check out our Mojo Power plans.
